12 Companies That Are Leading The Way In Item Upgrades

Path of Exile Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of a variety of items in Path of Exile. They can also provide additional damage, AD or even affixes.

In most cases, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is often surpassed by Rare-grade gear due to their higher requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They improve the stats of the item that they are attached to. Armor upgrades are found in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire.  item upgrader  can also be salvaged using a specialist or higher salvage kits to retrieve upgrade components from items.

The amount of damage that an armored piece or weapon can absorb depends on the extent of its upgrades. The ability to absorb damage of a piece armor will increase when it is upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. However, it's important to be aware that this upgrade will raise its weight, requiring it to weigh more than before.

There are several kinds of armor upgrades available in the game, and they all have distinct effects. Certain upgrades grant armor an extra number of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The type of armor upgrade that an item will receive will be identified by the name of the upgrade as indicated in the table below.

Some upgrades also feature magical or a combination of magic and technology, which is shown by a "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Additionally, some upgrades require a fee to use, which are indicated by an "Charges" entry in the table below. These charges are either constantly updated or never expire depending on the upgrade.

The cheapest method to upgrade armor is to use Iron Ore, which can be found by exploring the area and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive but it can be obtained through smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be applied on armor pieces that are of high-level. These upgrades can provide significant boost to stats and are a worthwhile investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.

The player should be aware that upgrading a piece to the max upgrade level will boost its defense. However, it can also affect the speed and agility of the piece. It is not recommended to upgrade armor beyond +9. The defensive boost gained typically isn't worth the weight and power cost of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades give players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. For example an upgrade could increase the damage dealt by shotgun shells or the accuracy of a sniper rifle. Certain weapons come with special upgrades to improve their inherent characteristics. These include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and minimizes overheating of the weapon) and Kinetic Coils (increases the speed of projectiles to cause more damage).

Most weapon upgrades require three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons, and a whetblade. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests or killing a certain amount of bosses and monsters.

To upgrade a weapon, equipment set piece or Whetblade, you must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee of a certain number of Bars. The more bars required to complete an upgrade, the higher the level. The cost of upgrades will be less if you have more than one of the relevant upgrade materials.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the way you upgrade your equipment and weapon sets was a bit different. Previously you could search for an Upgrade Bench and pay a set amount of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to a higher level of rarity. You could continue doing this until you reach a max upgrade level of the weapon or equipment, after which the upgrades would be reset.

It's still possible, but it depends heavily on RNG. Instead, you're better off visiting stores and buying equipment with low upgrade levels, but good base scores and stat distributions. They will also be able to give you the best tier of benefits and blessings.

To increase their level quicker, players usually prioritise upgrading their weapons. In addition players, they should also consider upgrading the weapons that are most popular with their squadmates to make them more powerful and effective. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to increase its utility when accompanied by biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the armor's sockets and weapons, enhancing the stats of a weapon and providing additional effects. They can be created through a process called jewelry crafting, which is where you combine a gem and several chemicals at a table. The higher the level of the jewel the better the secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses all over the world, or by collecting Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Prism.

item upgrading  can boost the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. Based on the level of the jewel, it will provide a different stat boosts when inserted into weapons, gear and jewelry.

All tiers of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a high enough level to be able to get the privilege of having them. Jewels can be replaced with another jewel without destroying the original. However, you can only replace one jewel in a piece of equipment only once.

It is common to use more gems to enhance the appearance of. The jewels also improve performance and create a surface harder than steel, so that the repeated friction caused by pivots does not damage them.

In addition to the above upgrades players can also obtain glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. These are a small perk and can be swapped freely but aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs are upgradeable, as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold, and also a scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be taken out and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like traits and aegis are not swappable, and can only be recovered using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets are items of equipment that provide an array of tiny but valuable advantages to your hero. They can be acquired starting in the beginning areas as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, and through doing road interactions. They can be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinket that a player will unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny, but useful bonus in movement speed and the ability to evade. Then, they can acquire rings, amulets, and necklaces in a similar fashion to how the player obtains weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that accepts either a universal or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades offer smaller bonuses and can be used in any type of equipment while jewelry cannot be changed or upgraded, and is only compatible with certain types of trinkets.

These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active when the hero isn't engaged in combat. This enables the hero to perform better when they are not active and may also help fill in the void of a solid team or any talent tree slots which would normally be filled with hero's ideal stats.

A good rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you aren't planning to replace soon, followed by any items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item that is being upgraded. This is especially true when an item has multiple stats you wish to upgrade, as it's often better to upgrade a single crucial stat than two subpar ones.

In the beginning of the game, players in the jungle are likely to upgrade their trinket to a red, while top and mid players typically choose either a pink or green ward (depending on the matchup). These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

In addition to the items mentioned above, players can also find a number of other trinkets in the game in the form of trophies and awards. These can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story, such as finishing a chapter's main quest or destroying a boss. You can check them out by selecting the achievement in the reward section of the hero's menu.
